About Me
My Content
I'm Zak or "Gtomonster". Cliff led me to this site shortly after joining the VTXCafe and wondering where all the Colorado people were... Lol. Anyway I hope to meet you all and see a lot of you soon.
My background - I'm 29, I have my own Landscape business in Ft Collins. I'm a Ft Collins native (yes I'm one of the three remaining) I love the outdoors, anything with wheels, road trips, etc etc. I'm a gear head. I'm restoring my 70 GTO which I've owned since I was 17. I restored my first bike when I was 19 or 20... A 72 CB750 with the inline four, four carbs, and four pipes. That bike was so cool - until it was stolen from my front yard here in Ft Collins. Not so cool. That was my first and last bike until the VTX I picked up in May.
My brother got a fully dressed 1800N last year and I borrowed my buddies 750 Spirit to go on a ride with him. That was it, I was hooked all over again. I promised myself I'd find a bike for the next season and I did. 2004 1300C with 5100 miles. I was looking for an 1100 Sabre, but realized for a little more $ I could have the best of the best.
I was gone for the months of July and August commercial fishing in Alaska and even without that ride time I've already doubled the milage on the bike. 10,999 as of 9-30-08. Lots of 100-200 mile trips and just a few weeks ago I did a trip with three friends up to Portland, down to San Fransisco, and back through Yosomite, the Redwoods forrest, and of course Vegas. 3700 miles on my odometer, 3500 on my buddies Harley. Lol. Damn it.
I'm about as easy going as they come. Wrenching, riding, or just grabbing a coffee or beer... Ask me anytime.
