QUOTE (Trapper @ Jun 12 2009, 05:13 PM) *
If nobody posts a ride, maybe I'll do a little shopping for gear. And I do mean gear this time!

We are hunting for a set of summer riding pants, and jackets. The FG Kilimanjaro jackets are great......up to about 80--85 degrees....then you start getting a little warm. A pair of mesh riding pants to go with the hot weather would be a good thing too.....

I might be doing that on Saturday.

try motogear on sheridan and 58th was in for gloves and browsing they have much stuff............

having owned a 1300 and 1800 i must chime in.1300 just did not cut it in the mountains especially with a passenger.after a few rides with wifey and a few spirited rides to steamboat and such, found out the 1300 was not cutting it power wise and comfort wise.

QUOTE (Cliff @ Jul 16 2008, 09:32 AM) *
QUOTE (Larry @ Jul 16 2008, 08:22 AM) *
8000 miles would be good with me...I just put Avon's on my bike ( two weeks ago)
I had the Dunlop E-3 got 4500 miles out of the tires...worse tire I ever had.....Cuping...Cords.....Bad wear pattern..

I would like to compile some tire information to add to my tire data. If you guys and gals would help, I sure would appreciate it.

If you could send me your tire types / brands, mileage by brand, riding style (% of one/two up, % of loaded or not, aggressive or not) I think it would be interesting and helpful to see what's what. One rider with two brands would be great. In other words, I ran an Avon and Metz receiving X miles out of one brand over the other with relatively the same riding style.

Thanks...

2003,1800r,original dunlops 8000miles.replaced with metzme 880,42lbs in both 70%solo30%2up,medium aggresive riding, got 12,000 miles rear shot front not bad changed both.
