It's been AGES since I posted anything. I can't even remember what my last post was...?? LOL Great to see the group is still going strong. Unfortunately, last June...I traded in my beloved Triple B, and bought...*le gasp* ... a Harley. I opted for the Cadillac couch rear seat for the Mrs. She was still too uncomfortable siting on what she termed, "a maxi pad on a 2x4."12,000 miles later, I don't regret the decision. She has even asked to go on a ride, instead of resisting the opportunities. I consider that a victory. Even though I can't get her to take a riding course so she can ride her OWN bike...but I think MAYBE if I can afford to get her a CanAm Spider...maybe? Time will tell. Back to work at YRC again, working 4x10 shifts, Friday thru Monday. ugh. But glad to be working again, doing hard work that makes living more comfortable. I'll take a few days and get up to speed on posts and what's going on out here. Hope to see you all again one day... Ray ( I guess an avatar and sig update would be in order? ![]() |

It might have been a California transplant, as they allow that when traffic is stopped, "so the bike won't overheat." Or just a moron as previously stated. |

Just thought I'd drop this in here: I stopped in at RPM to see what their Wing inventory was today on my way home from Let It Ride. The sales staff were all excited about something, so I kinda eavesdropped: Their boss was in Canada at BRP headquarters getting the initial information about a BIG product announcement that should be coming out either tonight or tomorrow. BRP had bought the Buell stock and etc, so no doubt they will be building some bikes again. I heard a whisper about a big bagger being part of the deal...We shall see fairly soon. ![]() |

Thanks Cliff! I definitely had my eye on a black 2010 base model they have sitting on the floor. Yeah, I saw the 3.9 offer, but not too sure I can qualify for that rate. Plus I have the Mrs. breathing down my neck insisting that I keep the payment the same as what I'm already paying on the VTX. *sigh* I've got all those details worked out in my head, now to see if they'll work on paper. Again, thanks Cliff. |

Cliff, I remember you mentioning a member of the sales staff that will work with members of the COVTXRR's for the best possible deal. I can't seem to find that post, or remember his name. The big problem so far has been interest rates! So far, my own credit union, that I've been a member of since 1987, will only offer me a 16.9% rate. I'm so disgusted with them, I think I'll be taking my business somewhere else very soon. Any feedback on better rates would be appreciated. Also, is anyone interested in a clean, fast, well equipped '05VTX1800F3? ![]() |

This new job has me all turned around! No school for the summer, so my days got mixed up...I thought today was Friday, and I had one more day until the tech session! S**T! LOL I really need to check the board more often, I know I'm missing out on a lot... But being secretary of a new club chapter has kept my brain busy, too. (see ride posting) Hope to see everyone sometime in the near future! |

I just did just that Cliff! I'm hoping I can shake loose for one of the rides at least. The Mrs. is still playing hard to get as far as doing longer rides. One of these days I'll trade in the X for a Wing, and she'll enjoy that back seat a lot more. ![]() |

I joined a Law Enforcement MC over the past year, this is the first annual ride we're putting on. It's a fund raiser for a Jefferson County Sheriff Deputy that needs assistance with her overwhelming medical bills. Now that summer is here and I'm not driving every day, I can ride more! Hope to see some of you on the road somewhere soon. I'll pass along the July Ride info. to my club also. ![]() http://www.cruisinon2foryou.com/ |

What a BEAUTIFUL day it was for the ride up to Platte Canyon HS! We endded up taking the short turn just past, and returning to Golden to visit with some friends. And watch the Broncos lose. Should have stayed and had a hot dog up there, eh? It was good to see Kurt, Lisa, and Dennis at Columbine. Thanks for the laugh Lisa, I have this mental image etched in my mind now of the look Kurt must have had on his face when you looked back...hahaha! |

We'll be there as well, riding with a group of Jeffco Sheriffs that we know. I don't know what time we'll be arriving at Columbine, but will definitely try to find and say howdy to any Range Riders there. The weather forecast looks good right now, let's all hope it stays the same! |

Fat Cats has the BEST breakfast buffet in existence! And they only offer it on weekends. Been there many times while up in the area camping and ATVing, and haven't had a single complaint! Except I wish they had more space! |

You're exactly the type of person that will benefit from attending a tech session with this group! Even if you don't have anything that needs attention, you can learn by watching others performing these tasks. I learned a lot in the one session I was able to make it to, and need to find time to make it to more of them. I'm another that likes someone else to do it, but my dealer closed so I'll be doing more of the basic stuff myself from now on. Hey guys - would this session benefit a Bozo like me? See the forum thread I posted today: http://www.vtxoa.com/forums/showthread.php?t=283302 |

Sorry for the double post... Honda dropped by and picked up all the new bikes they had, so all that's left is used stock, mostly dirt bikes. they do still have some riding gear in stock, jackets, rain gear, helmets, gloves, etc... Some shop supplies and such, all discounted. |

JJ, if I didn't have a 13 yr old middle schooler that is special needs, and a 21 yr old college student I'm still playing taxi driver for, I'd have a few spare moments to help you out. The 21 yr old finally wants her license...freedom is starting to call her...so I WILL have some free time when that happens. Hopefullly within the next week or so. As far as the run, I'll have to make sure the Mrs. didn't plan something that weekend, if not I'm in. So my choice is #12, I don't read the forum daily, and sometimes it's several weeks between reads and posts. ![]() ![]() What part of town do you live in? I'm right next to Mullen High School and Ft. Logan Nat'l. Cemetery. If we hadn't made plans long ago for this weekend, we'd be doing the Autism ride tomorrow. Instead, we're doing the Palmer Lake 1/2 of the FSD ride, as far as Monument anyway, and returning the same route after lunch at Rosie's Diner. |

Like Cliff said, Happy Birthday! And not a bad run, not bad at all! My best was 13.542 ET @ 97.04MPH on 7/12/08. I'd love to join you in September and see what this beast will do with the PC3 installed. ![]() |

Well, wiht the V&H Bigshots, there are no O2 sensors on the bike...? I ordered a pair like it required, but there was nowhere to put them. It hasn't made htem any less loud, but the absence of the decel popping really made Brenda happy as a clam. I'm going to play around with the map a little bit with the software that came with it, I'm just a bit lean on the bottom end, feeling a slight hesitation on initial throttle application. I wil definitely say that the V&H Fuelpak is junk compared to the PC3. Going back to the O2 sensors, mine is an F model, and the pipes could be the difference too. I can see where an O2 sensor would mount to the pipes, but there are blank inserts bolted on there. I'll get a picture of what I'm talking about if I can, and link it. |

I installed a PC 3 on my F this weekend and I've been wondering why it took me 3 years to do so. I cna't believe how much smoother the bike runs, how much quieter it is when decelerating, and how much FASTER it is!!! I used the map for the V&H Bigshots and stock/aftermarket air filter for now. I wonder what a trip to the dyno woud do for it? ![]() Anyway, I'm just ecstatic about it and wanted to share the good news. |

This is true. Although I've never had a problem with either their service or customer service. I've always been ab;e to get a quick appointment, and have it done as promised. The reason the owner gave me was the economy, and the bad location...It's easy to get there from the North, but from the South you have to find a place to turn around and head South to get there. Looks like I have to find a new place for service. I wish Sun wasn't so far, but if everyone agrees their service shines, I'll start going all the way up there for it. The Black Wing is priced at $18,189. Where's that winning Lotto ticket...??? |

They're closing their doors September 15th, and everything in stock is at or below wholesale. They have a pair of 2008 Goldwings, one black one red, for under $19K! These are brand new bikes, not used. Lots of other goodies if anybodies interested. Parts in stock, riding gear, everything goes! They're at : 6235 S. Sante Fe Drive Littleton, CO 80120 That's just south of Arapahoe Community College, and just south of Hudson Gardens. I wish I had the money, that black Wing would be mine already! |
